Volta Trucks Will Tour The UK Throughout September In A Series Of High-Profile Customer And Industry Events

Volta Trucks, a disruptive full-electric commercial vehicle manufacturer and services provider, has confirmed that the full-electric Volta Zero will tour the UK throughout September in a series of high-profile customer and industry events. The UK roadshow follows the successful European tour of Paris, Madrid, Barcelona, Milan, Munich, and Frankfurt where more than 700 individual customer demonstrations of the Volta Zero were undertaken. Business-focused audiences The UK tour initially kicks off with the EV Summit at the Saïd Business School at Oxford University on 1-2 September where Founder and Executive Chairman of Volta Trucks, Carl- Magnus Norden will present in the electric vehicle design panel debate. The EV Summit brings together business leaders and key players working on electric vehicles, energy, information technology and charging infrastructure, to explore how the world advances to full, battery electric, eMobility. The EV Summit brings together business leaders and key players working on electric vehicles The following days, 3-5 September, the Volta Zero will be presented at Fully Charged OUTSIDE, the leading festival of electric vehicles and clean energy. The full-electric Volta Zero will be displayed within the Commercial Vehicle Zone, and this will be the first time that the general public will be able to see and interact with the Volta Zero, rather than the business-focused audiences to date. Commercial vehicle brands Next stop on the UK roadshow of events is the Lunch! Contemporary Food To-Go Show on 23-24 September at ExCeL, London. Lunch! is the leading event for the café, coffee shop and food-to-go sector. With the refrigerated variant of the Volta Zero being perfectly suited for the Food and Beverage segment, Lunch! is a natural environment for the full-electric last-mile delivery vehicle. The Volta Zero will be presented with Nobl Thirst, formerly Drinks Cubed – Volta Trucks’ first customer. Concluding the UK roadshow will be a Volta Trucks display at Freight in the City at London’s Alexandra Palace on Tuesday 28 September, amongst many other commercial vehicle brands. The presentation of the Volta Zero at Freight in the City is symbolic as it was two years since Founder, Carl-Magnus Norden, and co-Founder, Kjell Waloen, gave a presentation on the future of Volta Trucks and its first vehicle, the full-electric Volta Zero. Two years later, the vehicle will be on display at the event. Volta Trucks Confirms €230 Million Of Series C Funding As It Prepares The Full-Electric Volta Zero For Production

Volta Trucks, the disruptive full-electric commercial vehicle manufacturer and services provider, has announced the successful and oversubscribed conclusion of its Series C funding round with a €230 million capital raise. The funding round was led by New York-based Luxor Capital, while initial seed investor, Byggmästare Anders J Ahlström of Stockholm, added to its holding in the company as well as bringing further direct and indirect co-investors to the cap table. Supply chain services Previous Series B investor, Agility, a provider of supply chain services, innovation, and investment, also joined the capital raise. The additional investment from these major shareholders demonstrates their confidence in the company’s journey and strategy, and its future success. Engineering development and testing This latest capital raise will fund all the company’s engineering and business operations through until after the start of series production of the 16-ton full-electric Volta Zero at the end of 2022. This includes the completion of a fleet of Design Verification prototypes for engineering development and testing, as well as a fleet of Product Verification vehicles that will be evaluated by customers in London and Paris in mid-2022. It will also fund the continued development of the recently confirmed 7.5-ton and 12-ton full-electric Volta Zero derivatives, as well as prepare the company’s contract manufacturing facility in Steyr, Austria, to start production of customer vehicles by the end of the year. Significant customer contracts This, and other recent pre-orders has taken the Volta Trucks orderbook to over 5,000 vehicles During 2023, the company’s first year of series production, Volta Trucks has production plans for 5,000 vehicles, increasing to 14,000 trucks in 2024 and up to 27,000 vehicles in 2025. By this time, the company will be operational across Europe as well as the US, with a portfolio of four Volta Zero models in production, including 7.5-, 12-, 16- and 18-ton variants. Supporting these volume expectations are significant customer contracts, including the recent announcement of Europe’s largest order of full-electric trucks from DB Schenker, Europe’s premier land transport company, ordering nearly 1,500 vehicles. This, and other recent pre-orders has taken the Volta Trucks orderbook to over 5,000 vehicles, with an order value of over €1.2 billion. Successful and oversubscribed conclusion Confirming the new investment, Essa Al-Saleh, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Volta Trucks, said “The successful and oversubscribed conclusion of our Series C funding round gives us a positive external validation of our journey. Volta Trucks Appoints Steve Dichter As Chief Strategy Officer

Volta Trucks, the pioneering and disruptive full-electric commercial vehicle manufacturer and services provider, has confirmed the appointment of Steve Dichter as Chief Strategy Officer, with immediate effect. Dichter replaces Casper Norden, who’s been appointed as Chief Fleet Solutions Officer, responsible for the implementation of the company’s Truck as a Service offer. 40 years of experience Steve Dichter brings over 40 years of experience in building high-performing businesses and cultures. Most of his career was with McKinsey & Company where he was a senior partner and a leader of their worldwide organization performance practice.  Latterly, he served as Chief Operating Officer at Agility Logistics, focused on integrating over 40 acquisitions and achieving consistent profitability and growth. He received an MBA from Harvard Graduate School of Business Administration.
