Scolmore continues to develop and expand its Click wiring accessories range to meet the needs of an evolving sector and has just added a new RCD socket to its popular Mode range. RCD sockets have a built in residual current device which is designed to trip and cut the power if a fault with the current is detected. This helps to protect both appliances from damage and users from electric shocks if a bare wire is touched. Dedicated wiring solutions All products in the Mode range are manufactured using Urea Formaldehyde Mode – Click’s best-selling range - was conceived and developed as a high quality, flexible and modern solution for virtually any domestic wiring requirement. The smooth, contemporary lines of the Mode accessory plate will fit easily into traditional and contemporary designs alike and the modular design allows installers unprecedented flexibility in creating dedicated wiring solutions to deal with specific wiring needs. All products in the Mode range are manufactured using Urea Formaldehyde, which has similar inherent properties to antimicrobial additives that inhibit the growth of infectious diseases. When independently tested, all products achieved a 99.99% kill off rate across all four types of the strains of bacteria – MRSA, E-Coli, Salmonella and Klebsiella Pneumonia. Various independent testing previously undertaken has also shown the products to have anti-viral properties against enveloped and non-enveloped viruses and to have achieved a 99.98% kill off rate against Influenza A (H1N1) after a 24-hour period.
Scolmore continues to expand its Elucian consumer unit range to provide electricians with the broadest possible range of units and protective devices to cater to all installation requirements. New to the range is a 25A rated RCBO which joins the extensive protective devices line-up. An RCBO protects against a residual current or earth leakage when there is a break in a circuit through poor electrical wiring or an incident such as drilling through a cable. Elucian RCBOs An RCBO also protects against an overcurrent in the form of an overload when too many devices are in use in the circuit, drawing an amount of power that exceeds the capacity of the breaker, or a short circuit which occurs when there is a short between the line and neutral conductors. These devices are type A warranted offering equilibrium when DC current is present The Elucian RCBOs are compact single-module devices that allow for additional space above to make it easier to install and terminate outgoing circuits. These devices are type A rated offering resilience when DC current is present. RCBO protective devices range The RCBO protective devices range comprises: Type A Single Pole B Curve – 6A,10A,16A, 20A, (new 25A), 32A, and 40A. Type A 2 Module Double Pole B Curve – 45A, 50A, and 63A. Type A Single Pole C Curve. Type A Double Pole C Curve.
