Megger Acquires The Diagnostic Laboratory Business And InsuLogix® Monitoring Product Line Of Weidmann Electrical Technology

Weidmann’s highly respected oil analysis laboratory services become part of Megger from 1st April 2023 and will operate under the AVO Diagnostic Services name, further strengthening its ability to offer online and offline asset condition insights to the electrical power industry. The latest generation of the InsuLogix® HMA Dissolved Gas Analyzer (DGA) monitoring system is also acquired, aligning with the company strategy of developing online monitoring systems to provide insights for the performance management of electrical assets. Oil Test Laboratories The nine oil test laboratories in Canada, Mexico, and the US will operate as AVO Diagnostic Services, providing the vital knowledge that operators need to help lower risk and improve their electrical system’s reliability. For over 30 years the laboratories have been providing actionable information to international standards through a combination of laboratory, field test interpretation, and engineering expertise, delivering complete diagnostic packages for specific equipment types. Megger will provide valuable insight on specific transformers based on the data-set learnings Bringing to Megger the people with laboratory expertise gives us access to a large amount of valuable oil analysis data. In the future, working together with our strategic software partners IPS to develop advanced data analytics software, Megger will provide customers with valuable insight on their specific transformer(s) based on the learnings from this vast data set. On-line Monitoring of DGA product The InsuLogix® HMA is a high-performance online monitor that detects and monitors faults in power transformers and load tap changers by measuring the levels of Hydrogen (H2), Acetylene (C2H2), and Moisture. This product is currently only available in North America.

Megger Acquires Vespula To Extend Their Solution To The Electrical Contract And Maintenance Industry

Megger are pleased to announce that the company has acquired the electrical certification company, Vespula Ltd, based in the UK. The Vespula software offers electrical contractors a simple to use, cloud-based platform for completion and storage of their electrical installation certificates. The software has been developed to operate seamlessly across multiple operating systems, including Windows, Mac, Android, and iOS - both on and offline – allowing certificate completion either on site, using a mobile device, or from the office. Multiple operating systems The Vespula software extends Megger’s solution to the electrical contract and maintenance industry, where the move to digital certification has been growing. It complements Megger’s portfolio of electrical test and measurement equipment, while ensuring compatibility with our range of Bluetooth-enabled multifunction testers that currently offer storage and downloading. Megger Launches A New Subsidiary In Turkey To Handle Sales And Support Directly For End Users Of Their Cable Test Products

In launching its new subsidiary, Megger has worked in close cooperation with ENPA, with whom it has had a longstanding relationship. Megger Turkey will handle sales and support directly for end-users of Megger cable test products and will provide support via the company’s existing sales partners for all other products in the extensive Megger range. Gürcan Ensari, the founder of ENPA, and Mehmet Demir, Megger’s Regional Sales Director for the Power Cable Infrastructure Division in South-East-, East- and Non-Europe, have been appointed as joint Managing Directors of the new company. Existing sales partners “This is an exciting development for Megger and for our many valued Turkish customers and partners,” said Friedrich Enkert, Megger’s Vice President for Global Sales Cable Infrastructure. “It will give us the opportunity to invest in and expand our Turkish business while our customers and partners benefit from even better support than they’ve enjoyed in the past. Turkey is a very important market for us, and we’re delighted that we’ll be able to work more closely than ever with our Turkish friends and associates.” Megger Turkey opened for business on June 5, 2020, and is now spearheading all of the company’s operations in the country.
