Ingeteam has been awarded a new supply contract for a new photovoltaic plant in Australia. The company will supply its power electronics technology. Specifically, Ingeteam has supplied 15 transformer stations or power stations delivered as a turnkey solution, as well as the PPC (Power Plant Controller) system. The project is located in the Campaspe Shire in the state of Victoria. Once operational, this wind farm will generate the energy consumed by more than 43,000 Australian homes per year, thanks to its installed capacity of approximately 93 MW. Renewable energy plant Construction of the project has involved an investment of more than A$140 million Construction of the project has involved an investment of more than A$140 million. Construction work began in August 2023 and is estimated to last 18 months, while the plant's operating life is expected to reach approximately 35 years. The project, owned by ENEL Green Power Australia (EGPA), was built by Beon Energy Solutions. EGPA deploys a sustainable construction model on all its sites, working closely with contractors to encourage the adoption of solutions that amplify the beneficial effects of each renewable energy plant and proactively address any adverse effects of construction activities on the local environment and community. Ingeteam continues to add projects and installed capacity on Australian soil after celebrating the tenth anniversary of its Australian subsidiary, inaugurated in November 2013.
Ingeteam will be at The Smarter E Europe, the world's largest trade fair dedicated to the renewable energy sector. This year it will have two stands: one dedicated to the solar and energy storage sector, and the other for its portfolio of electric vehicle charging solutions. Over 400 m2 will be used to display a wide range of products, some of which will be on show for the first time at the Munich Exhibition Centre from 19 to 21 June, 2024. Medium-voltage transformer station Specifically, the first stand, B4.130, will dedicate its 256 m2 exclusively to the solar and battery energy storage sector, where Ingeteam will present, among other solutions, a new version of its successful photovoltaic inverter, the INGECON SUN 3Power C Series, which now has a power output of 5 MW. This central inverter, initially conceived for the North American market, offers one of the highest power densities on the market, delivering 5,378 kVA in a single power block. This enables Ingeteam to provide a Full Skid type medium-voltage transformer station with a capacity of 10.7 MW with two inverters connected to an LV/MV step-up transformer. This turnkey solution is supplied pre-wired and fully integrated as a plug-and-play product. Solar PV generation The company will also present its new 350 kW string inverter with twelve MPPTs in its different versions The company will also present its new 350 kW string inverter with twelve MPPTs in its different versions, as it is marketed as a PV inverter with 12 MPPTs and also as a battery inverter, which is offered to the market together with a transformer station (INGECON SUN Virtual Central Station - VCST), with everything necessary for medium-voltage feed-in. Visitors can also see a preview of its new INGECON SUN 300TL PV inverter, which will be available by the end of 2024, specially designed for large-scale PV plants developed with string inverters. The residential, commercial and industrial sectors will be represented by systems combining solar PV generation and battery energy storage. A wide range of Ingeteam products, including an all-in-one solution designed in collaboration with the Italian company Bertone. Largest marine industry events Ingeteam's electric vehicle chargers will take center stage at this year's edition, where they will be exhibited on a 160 m2 stand, B6.420, at Power2Drive Europe, where Ingeteam will present its latest ultra-fast charger model. The presentation will happen on Wednesday 19 June, day one of the fair, at 11 am. Ingeteam's other charging stations, such as the FUSION Street and FUSION Wall, the RAPID 120/180 and the RAPID 60, which has won three awards for its elegant design, will also be on display. Furthermore, that same week, Ingeteam will also be exhibiting its solutions for the marine sector at the Electric & Hybrid Marine Expo Europe trade show, which will be held in Amsterdam from June 18 to 20 and which is one of the world's largest marine industry events. At the exhibition, Ingeteam will showcase its INGEDRIVE low and medium voltage frequency converters up to 44 MVA, as well as its wide range of INDAR motors and generators for marine applications.
Ingeteam is to supply 70 photovoltaic inverters to Grenergy for the solar project located in the Tabernas desert. Located in Southern Spain, this desert is famous for having hosted the filming of numerous Hollywood films, especially westerns. With a power output of 250 MW, the Tabernas project has an estimated annual generation capacity of 466.6 GWh. Once commissioned, the facility is expected to supply more than 126,300 households with green energy, avoiding the emission of over 127,380 tons of CO2 annually. 70 INGECON SUN 3Power C Series Ingeteam will supply specialized, state-of-the-art components as a technology partner Ingeteam will supply specialized, state-of-the-art components as a technology partner. Specifically, 70 INGECON SUN 3Power C Series inverters will be provided for the renewable energy generation plant, spread over 35 transformer stations, to be delivered as a turnkey solution ready for installation. The supply agreement between the two companies also includes the control system and equipment commissioning. decarbonization of society Ingeteam's Photovoltaic Commercial Director, Jesús Echarte, says, "Playing at home is always a source of satisfaction. This new contract consolidates Grenergy's trust in Ingeteam as a technology partner for many of its projects. We are very happy to continue contributing to the decarbonization of society." solar energy projects Since Ingeteam started its activity in the photovoltaic business 25 years ago, it has exceeded 31 GW in supplies globally, including 6 GW in Spain. To date, the company has participated with its technology in several of the world's most important solar energy projects in the United States of America (USA), Australia, Spain, Mexico, Chile, and Abu Dhabi (UAE).
