E&R Industrial became a subsidiary of W.W. Grainger, the broad line distributor of maintenance, repair and operating (MRO) products serving businesses and institutions, announces Cecelia Myers joined the company as Vice President, Group Product Manager. In this role, she will be responsible for Grainger's strategy to custom build technology capabilities aimed at improving the customer and team member experience. "I am thrilled to welcome Cecelia to Grainger as we continue to unlock new ways to create competitive advantage and support our customers' needs," said Brian Walker, Chief Product Officer. "Cecelia's dynamic leadership and breadth and depth of experience overseeing innovative product organizations will help advance our digital transformation and drive value for our customers." Implementing AI solutions Myers comes to Grainger with broad experience, most recently she served as Vice President, Digital, at CDW where she led its digital channel and oversaw product management, digital integrations, demand generation and product design. Prior to CDW, she held roles of increasing responsibility in product and user experience at Groupon, initiatives such as automating customer support, implementing AI solutions and launching Groupon's photo/video studio. She also co-founded CakeStyle, an online women's styling business. Myers will be based in the Chicago office and reports to Walker.

With this appointment, he will join the Grainger Leadership Team. “With nearly two decades of experience in roles across Grainger, Matt brings an innate understanding of our business and our diverse team member populations," said D.G. Macpherson, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Grainger. Extensive industry experience Matt Fortin has held roles of increasing responsibility across Grainger's supply chain and led the company's sourcing and commercial operations in China. Prior to joining Grainger, he spent 16 years at General Motors progressing through leadership roles in manufacturing, purchasing, continuous improvement and general management. He graduated from the University of Dayton with a Bachelor’s degree in Management Information Systems and graduated as a General Motors Fellow with an MBA degree from the Thunderbird School of Global Management. Matt Fortin has held board positions with both the Midwest Red Cross chapter and El Valor, a non-profit serving at-risk children and adults in Chicago's Pilsen neighborhood. He is currently the Executive Sponsor for the Asian and Pacific Islander Business Resource Group at Grainger.
