Users can now take advantage of surface mount technology with the new R5M, R3M, R2M, and R1M regulated DC/DC converters, rated at 5W, 3W, 2W, and 1W, respectively.

The family shares a common case size of 13.2mm x 9.1mm footprint, 10.2mm high, with the R2M additionally available in a through-hole DIP8 package. The DC/DCs operate over a 4:1 input range, 9-36VDC or 18-75VDC, while the R3M, R2M, and R1M range additionally include 4.5-18V input. Outputs available are fully regulated: single 3.3V, 5V, 9V, 12V, 15V, or 24V, and dual ±5V, ±12V, or ±15V.

EN55032 class A and B

Reliability calculated to MIL-HDBK 217F, GB at 25°C is high, for example 8.5MHrs for the R1M 1W part

The DC/DCs feature on/off control and are protected against short circuits while advanced thermal and circuit design has resulted in high efficiency, allowing an operation to at least 100°C with derating.

At the same time, the parts operate to usefully high temperatures at full load, for example, to 90°C for the 1W R1M part. No minimum load is required.

All parts feature a 1.6kV/1min isolation rating and EN55032 class A and B EMC limits can be met with a simple external filter. Reliability calculated to MIL-HDBK 217F, GB at 25°C is high, for example 8.5MHrs for the R1M 1W part.
