The city of Boppard is continuing to drive electromobility in the region: the city administration is now driving electric vehicles. The new electric vehicles will be available for employees' business trips in the future.
The vehicles are two VW ID.4s with a mileage of around 515 kilometers and a usable battery storage capacity of 77 kWh. The infrastructure service provider - Westenergie supported the administration in purchasing environmentally friendly electric vehicles.
electromobility
Jörg Haseneier, Mayor of the City of Boppard, Westenergie Regional Manager - Florian Schmidt, and city employees got a look at the new vehicles together. A joint test drive was also a must.
"As an administration, we take our role model function seriously and are driving forward electromobility. With the growing need for mobility, solutions are needed that meet this need and at the same time protect our nature. I am pleased that the two environmentally friendly vehicles will be available to our employees for business trips in the region in the future," explains Mayor Jörg Haseneier.
environmental awareness
Westenergie Regional Manager - Florian Schmidt, said, "Electromobility is a key issue for the future, both for us as an energy service provider and infrastructure provider and for the districts and cities."
Florian Schmidt adds, "Especially in times of increasing environmental awareness and with a view to the energy transition, electromobility is one of the answers to the question of how we want to move around in the future in terms of climate protection."
