To increase road safety, the local community of Schleich has installed a speed sign together with Westenergie. The sign is intended to remind road users of the speed limit and encourage them to be cautious. The company is supporting the community with funding for the purchase.

"Because of the color displayed on the speedometer, you can see from a distance whether the speed limit has been observed," said local Mayor - Rudolf Körner.

Respective measuring point

Mayor Rudolf Körner adds, "This does not result in tickets being issued. The data is stored anonymously and provides valuable information for further improving road safety at the respective measuring point."

Thanks to an environmentally friendly solar module, the speed display does not require its own power connection and can be used at different locations as required.

Marco Felten, Westenergie Manager for the Trier region, emphasized: "I am pleased that we are implementing these measures to improve road safety together with the local community of Schleich. In this way, we are making a contribution to improving the quality and safety of the location."
