The Leiwener Grillhütte is located in the foothills of the beautiful Schantelbachtal valley near the town. Inside, there is a fully equipped counter with refrigerators and seating for around 40 people, which is also used by clubs and private individuals.

However, the refrigerators in the grill hut were getting old. That is why Westenergie subsidized the purchase of two new and energy-efficient refrigerators.

Reduce the CO2 emissions

"The new refrigerators in the grill hut save energy and thus protect the environment. This is a contribution to climate protection," explained Johannes Weis, First Deputy Mayor of the Leiwen local community.

The local community expects the campaign to save around 50 percent of the previous operating costs of the refrigerators. In addition, the use of refrigerators will help to significantly reduce the CO2 emissions of the devices.
