Together with the local community of Farschweiler, the energy service provider - Westenergie is supporting the modernization of the interior lighting in the community center.
In the building with its adjoining multi-purpose hall, new and environmentally friendly LED wall and ceiling lights provide efficient and energy-saving lighting.
LED technology
Local Mayor - Silke Weber and other members of the local community, together with Westenergie Regional Manager - Marco Felten, got an idea of the conversion on site.
"With the new, longer-lasting LED technology, we are not only easing the burden on the local community's budget but are also protecting the environment. This is another contribution to climate protection," explained Silke Weber, Mayor of Farschweiler.

Westenergie Regional Manager - Marco Felten, stated, "We are pleased that we can contribute to improving the infrastructure in Farschweiler."
The lamps were installed with the help of community worker Horst Bartsch. The local community of Farschweiler expects the project to save around 50 percent of its previous energy costs for interior lighting. In addition, the use of the latest LED technology helps to significantly reduce CO2 emissions.
