Whether in routine maintenance or emergency situations, the equipment interchangeability is a feature that allows for low downtime and, consequently, cost reduction.

With this in mind, Aço Verde Brasil, the first company to produce steel without the use of fossil fuels, selected the expertise of those who offer electrical and mechanical interchangeability with equipment from different manufacturers to acquire three new motors that will be part of the expansion of its unit located in Açailândia, in the state of Maranhão in Brazil.

WEG’s three-phase induction motors

For the customer, this choice represents a reduction in maintenance costs and production losses

For the project, three-phase induction motors from WEG's Master line of 1,492 kW, 2,611 kW and 7,000 kW were chosen, which will be applied to a rolling mill and two centrifugal compressors at the plant.
