The Vanguard™ wireless fixed point gas detector from United Electric Controls can now be installed in difficult-to-reach locations with the introduction of additional antenna gains and the option to mount it remotely.

The Vanguard TCD60

The Vanguard TCD60 adds to the versatility of the Vanguard TCD50 by providing three options for antenna gain and a remote mount option for the antenna. This aids with better placement of the antenna to improve signal transmission while keeping the gas sensor where it is needed.

One customer mounted the Vanguard TCD60 inside an underground vault and brought the antenna to the surface to connect with the existing WirelessHART network. There are three antenna gains to choose from to help optimize distance versus omnidirectional capability reducing the need for as many repeaters.
