On October 14-16, 2020, Shanghai Electric Wind Power Group presented a show themed by ‘Wind to X Power to Future’ at the CWP2020, showcasing its latest products, cooperative results, and total solutions. At the event, Shanghai Electric signed the ‘Beijing Declaration on Wind Energy’ and a strategic cooperation agreement on mechanical drive systems.
Shanghai Electric also unveiled its latest digital onshore model WE4.55N-168 and held a certification ceremony at its booth. With a rated power of 4.55MW and a record impeller diameter of 168m, it is the largest 4MW-level unit in China and will emerge in the era of grid parity as the most competitive onshore wind turbine generator for low-wind sites.
Supply chain system
Two offshore models were also launched: W6.5F-185 and WG5.55F-172 (for synergy)
At the same time, two offshore models were also launched: W6.5F-185 and WG5.55F-172 (for synergy). Targeting low and medium wind-speed sites north of Hangzhou Bay, these two models are supported by Shanghai Electric's latest technologies and well-established supply chain system. They can help offshore wind farms manage a smooth transition from subsidy to grid parity.
i-WINDSIGHT, a digital wind farm design platform, was also made public. The platform can provide full lifecycle solutions for owners to develop digital wind farms and integrate with the industry ecosystem in the era of grid parity.
