After passing the full-system testing and being accepted by the owner on-site, the all-vanadium redox battery (VRB) energy storage system developed by Shanghai Electric (Anhui) Energy Storage Technology Co., Ltd. has been completed and will be dispatched to Japan for project delivery.

Environmental friendly

This is a research demonstration project of distributed PV and energy storage micro-grid system in Japan, which was independently designed and produced by the Shanghai Electric energy storage team.

Featuring high recyclability and scrap value, it is also environmentally friendly

The core intellectual property right belongs to Shanghai Electric. Compared to other energy storage batteries, the VRB boasts higher security, for aqueous electrolyte does not ignite or explode easily at normal temperature and pressure. Featuring high recyclability and scrap value, it is also environmentally friendly.

maximizing PV energy absorption

This project consists of the electrolyte circulation system, battery system module, power control module, and remote control system, with a rated power output of 100kW and a rated capacity of 380kWh.

Through a standard container integration system and effective control strategies, the project integrates the PV and energy storage system for unified management, thus maximizing the absorption of PV energy and improving the system's efficiency.

ancillary services

After being put into operation, the project will cooperate with local power stations to provide ancillary services to the electricity market including peak regulations and frequency regulation of regional power grid as well as power grid demand response, etc., jointly solve the issue of local abandonment of wind energy and light energy and improve the reliability and stability of the power grid.

Given the rich renewable resources in the overseas market, the VRB characterized by longer life and higher security attracts the increasing attention of the market.
