The limiting factor in many sustainable energy projects (from solar parks in Groningen to wind projects in Flevoland) is nowadays often obtaining a suitable grid connection. Or better said: the limited capacity of that grid connection.

This is because the distribution network can keep up with the rapid growth of sustainable energy to the extent that it is now. As a result, more than 35% of the distribution network is already without a suitable grid connection. Therefore, the growth of sustainably generated energy is being slowed down.

The solution: energy storage systems

By using energy storage systems (EOS) in combination with the SemperPower Blackbox solution, they can help them develop a positive business case for the solar or wind farm. Especially in areas where congestion applies and there is a limited grid connection.
