Scolmore Group continues to strengthen its reputation as a leading player in the lighting sector and its latest development sees the addition of six new LED lamps to its OVIA Lighting collection.

With the rapid advancement in lighting technology continuing to drive the market from CFL to LED solutions, and keen to listen to its customers’ needs, Scolmore researched with its wholesale customers to get an insight into the demand for LED lamps. The top-line results show that reliability and longevity, coupled with maximum warranty and lamp life hours are key.

SMD technology enables manufacturers to produce lamps that offer a better quality light output

With the GU10 accounting for the majority of demand, a true retrofit that will work with ‘can’ style downlights was also cited as of paramount importance, along with dimmable LED options.

The company’s new Ovia Lamp range comprises several GU10 lamps which incorporate the latest SMD (surface mounted diode) technology. SMD technology enables manufacturers to produce lamps that offer a better quality light output, are more affordable, and continue to offer the significant energy savings associated with LED technology.

These are the non-dimmable 36° 4W GU10 SMD LED lamp in warm white and cool white options; a Dimmable 36° 5.5W GU10 SMD LED lamp (warm white and cool white). The range also offers a non-dimmable 280° 2.3W H9 LED lamp (warm white) and a Non-dimmable 110° 3.3W GX53 LED lamp (cool white).

All Ovia Lamps offer 25,000 hours lifetime, 85% energy saving, 100% instant full light and are covered by a two-year warranty. A new eight-page brochure has been produced to provide full details of the range available including wattage/wattage equivalent; lumen output, energy-saving percentages, and lamp life hours.
