At the end of 2011, Scolmore (Click Scolmore) announced the launch of an ambitious investment plan that will see its lighting division grow significantly, over the next five years and contribute to the substantial growth that the company is predicting in the period to 2016.

At the heart of the new business strategy was the creation of a brand new umbrella brand for lighting solutions - OVIA - under which all lighting ranges will operate, including the Energetic low-energy collection, the award-winning Flameguard downlighters, the Fumagalli outdoor lighting solutions and the Click Lighting portfolio.

Scolmore is well positioned to provide solutions that meet all the relevant cost and energy efficiency criteria

The collaboration towards the end of 2010 with Energetic, the world’s renowned low energy lighting manufacturer, has provided a major boost, in order to allow the company to offer the biggest selection of highly competitive, energy saving solutions that are currently available from one supplier.

With the huge strides that the company has made in the technological advancement of low energy lighting, in recent years, particularly with the rise of the LED, coupled with the requirements to achieve Part L compliance, Scolmore believes it is well positioned to provide solutions that meet all the relevant cost and energy efficiency criteria.

OVIA lighting division

Key to the success of the OVIA lighting division in achieving the ambitions set out for the brand, will be the investment in a dedicated lighting team, including the appointment of specialist designers, plus an aggressive new product development program, which will see numerous products being added to the growing portfolio.

In 2011 alone, more than 100 new low energy products were introduced, as part of Scolmore’s products portfolio expansion.
