The latest additions to Scolmore’s growing collection of Inceptor integrated LED downlights, Inceptor Nano5, introduces the brand new, compact, fire-rated, dimmable downlights, which pack an array of features into their shallow profiles.
With a highly competitive price point for the features and benefits offered, the new high-performance, 4.8W LED lighting products are designed to have mass market appeal and are suitable for a variety of uses in domestic applications.
Inceptor Nano5 integrated LED downlights
There are two models available - Inceptor Nano5 Fixed and Inceptor Nano5 Adjustable, which allows the luminaire to be moved and directed to where the light is needed. The two new models feature a compact, high-powered driver, which is designed to be as small as possible, while remaining suitable for installation in a fire-rated ceiling.
As the smaller of the two, Inceptor Nano5 Fixed model is designed for a 60mm cut out and will fit into a recess depth of just 45mm, while the Adjustable version is designed for a 75mm cut out, with a recess depth fitting of 54mm.

Both Inceptor Nano5 Fixed and Adjustable products feature the Flow Connector, Scolmore’s pre-wired connection system that is designed to speed up installation and to allow even faster removal, for testing and replacement of components.
The company’s trademark blue strip of intumescent adds an extra barrier of protection against fire, by expanding to fill the gap between the plaster board and the light fitting. Inceptor Nano5 offers a 30-, 60-, and 90-minute fire rating, and is acoustic and airflow compliant.
Use the latest LED technology and custom-built lens
The Inceptor Nano5 integrated LED downlights utilize the latest LED technology and the custom-built, multi-faceted lens creates a halogen-style lighting effect.
With an ingress protection rating of IP65 for the fixed bezel and IP54 for the adjustable, they are both suitable for use in situations, where moisture and low pressure water jets are a factor, such as kitchen, bathroom and wet room installations.
Available in Fixed and Adjustable Bezel designs
A total of 12 Inceptor Nano5 products make up the new range, with a choice of Fixed and Adjustable Bezel designs, with both the designs available in three finishes - White, Chrome and Satin Chrome - and in two color temperature choices - warm white and cool white. Part L compliant, Inceptor Nano5 integrated LED downlights come with a 2-year warranty.
