Rosendin, the nation’s largest employee-owned electrical contracting company with a regional office in Tempe, donated its expertise to install lightning components at Mesa Community College’s softball facility. This donation gives local softball players access to lighting in the batting cages for the first time in the school’s history, allowing players to practice after dark.

Previously, the softball facility at Mesa Community College did not have lighting equipment for the batting cages. When Rosendin discovered the problem, Rosendin teamed up with Mesa Community College to donate all necessary labor.

Rosendin’s team of skilled electricians completed the project on May 10th, 2022, giving local college softball players the ability to utilize the facility during the cooler evening hours. “Rosendin was eager to continue our partnership and bring light to Mesa Community College’s softball facility,” said Christi Sova, Rosendin Project Manager. “We look forward to seeing the facility get put to use over the years and further assist players as they perfect their craft without limitations.”

Identical lighting solution

Earlier this year, Rosendin worked to provide an identical lighting solution to Mesa Community College’s baseball facility. Together Rosendin and Mesa Community College continued the partnership to provide lighting to Mesa Community College’s softball facility.

Rosendin is well known in Arizona’s construction industry as a reliable partner for projects including an $800 million data center in Mesa, semiconductor manufacturing facility in Chandler, as well as schools, government buildings, transportation lines, healthcare facilities, and an entertainment facility. To date, Rosendin has a $4B portfolio of work that includes complex mission-critical data center facilities for some of the largest high-tech, social media, and co-location corporations in the country.
