The professional journal "Elektronik" has selected RECOM as the second winner with its R05CT05S in the category Products of the Year 2021.

Once again, RECOM took part in the "Products of the Year" competition of the professional magazine - "Elektronik" in the Power category. With its high isolation class (5kVAC / 1minute) and excellent power density in a genuine SMT IC package, the 0.5 Watts DC/DC converter design demonstrates true magnitude, despite its tiny dimensions.

IEC62368-1 and IEC60601-1

It can be set up to 3.3 or 5VDC via a resistor when connected directly to the load

The converter has a nominal 5V input (4.5 to 5.5V) and a fully regulated, low-noise output. It can be set up to 3.3 or 5VDC via a resistor when connected directly to the load, or to 3.7 or 5.4VDC to supply a downstream LDO regulator for low-noise applications.

The high degree of insulation and good thermal behavior thus also enable classification according to IEC62368-1 and IEC60601-1 for medical applications at altitudes of up to 5000 meters.

new price standards

Full output power is available from -40°C to 55°C, with convection cooling only, and with only 20% derating at 110°C. Its maximum ambient temperature is 140°C. With this model, RECOM sets new price standards in the field of power conversion.

Matthew Dauterive, DC/DC Product Manager at RECOM, personally accepted the award, and said, "This award is a special honor for RECOM and motivates us to further expand our path as a provider of medically certified power supplies. Thank you to the ‘Elektronik’ readers."
