Two pioneering innovators in the energy world are joining forces to develop radical new products to help operators of electric vehicle (EV) fleets cut costs and reduce their carbon footprints.

Pozitive Energy and Electric Miles have agreed on a partnership deal and will now work together to bring innovations to the market.

new intelligent tariffs

The first projects will combine Pozitive Energy’s smart tariffs and Electric Miles’ smart charging technology to produce a revolutionary solution for EV fleet customers.

Through the use of the new products, EV fleet operators will be able to reduce charging costs while also maximizing the use of renewable energy, so cutting their carbon footprints, a vital step on the road to net zero. The new intelligent tariffs will make carbon reporting easier too.

DSR contracts with DSO

The new tariff will utilize Electric Miles’ expertise in demand-side reply using EVs to offer the electricity grid

It’s expected that a key part of the new tariff will utilize Electric Miles’ expertise in demand-side response using EVs to offer the electricity grid instant supplies to balance the network when needed.

Electric Miles has about 20MW of Demand Side Response (DSR) contracts with three major Distribution System Operators (DSO) and a patent-pending schedule-based charging platform to optimize charging when electricity is at its most abundant, green, and cheap.

End-to-end EV charging solutions

Commenting on the partnership, Neeraj Bhatia, CEO of Pozitive Energy, said: “As an innovative energy supplier, we are always looking to develop cutting-edge products for our customersWe welcome the partnership with Electric Miles as we look to provide our customers with end-to-end EV charging solutions to help them and wider UK businesses decarbonize.”

Arun Anand, CEO of Electric Miles, added: “The EV revolution is growing and working with companies like Pozitive Energy, is a great way to maximize the opportunities available using technology to deliver integrated customer solutions.”
