Orcan Energy, a provider of energy efficiency solutions based on ORC technology, appoints Hermann Röhm (50) as Global Head of Power Applications. Specializing in the use of engine waste heat to increase efficiency and simultaneously reduce CO2 emissions, Orcan Energy's goal is to significantly expand the growing power sector globally.

In particular, areas with a low level of infrastructure and decentralized energy supply are to be equipped with ORC systems to ensure sustainable and efficient power generation with engines. Hermann Röhm comes from GENERAC / PRAMAC, where he was General Manager Asia/Pacific for the past two years. Before that, he worked for MTU Friedrichshafen in various management positions for over 20 years, including five years as Head of Sales for Asia/Pacific.

Global power applications

Hermann Röhm sees global power applications based on gas, diesel or heavy oil engines

Extensive industry experience

As Head of Power Applications, Hermann Röhm sees global power applications based on gas, diesel or heavy oil engines, as well as gasturbines as the main focus in order to equip them with Orcan technology.

Following the installation of the world's unique 90 megawatt power plant park with 70 ORC products in Southeast Asian Myanmar, further projects of this kind are to follow. In addition, a recently launched cooperation with MAN in the above-mentioned countries is to be strengthened and expanded.
