On August 15, 2022, the energy storage system of Zhejiang Xiaoshan Power Plant was successfully connected to the grid. This project is the first generation side energy storage project in Zhejiang Province.

The total installed capacity of the energy storage system of Xiaoshan Power Plant is planned to be 100 MW/200 MWh. It will be constructed in two phases.
The first phase is a 50 MW/100 MWh energy storage system, all of which use lithium iron phosphate battery energy storage systems, to provide fast and flexible peak regulation services for the power grid.
