On November 8, 2021, the first wind turbine of Jiangsu Rudong Offshore Wind Farm was successfully put into operation through flexible DC transmission, opening a new era in China of offshore wind power to transmission through flexible DC transmission, marking the successful application of NR flexible DC protection & control system in offshore wind power project.
Rudong wind power project is the first offshore wind power flexible DC transmission project in Asia undertaken by the Three Gorges group and China Guangdong Nuclear Power Group.

Island adaptive control and oscillation suppression strategy
Island adaptive control and oscillation suppression strategy are proposed, which effectively solves the problem of high-frequency oscillation in renewable grid connection.
In addition, the on-line switching strategy of offshore double branches and the rotation switching strategy of wind farm solve the problems of single and double branch conversion of flexible DC transformer and overload of converter, enhance the operation reliability and access friendliness.
