The goal at Iskra is to significantly increase the use of energy derived from clean sources. In 2023 alone, they successfully reduced emissions across all three scopes by 830 tons, representing over a 10% reduction from the previous year, despite experiencing company growth. This reduction was achieved through waste reduction, lower energy consumption, and additional investments in battery storage systems, PV systems, and new energy-efficient machinery.
The R&D departments in Iskra are intensively engaged in the development of products with a sustainable purpose, such as Smart energy meters that enable the end user to analyze energy consumption for the best possible efficiency, and Smart gateways that enable the control of various energy consumers to predetermined settings, or pulses from sensors.

Furthermore, the commitment to sustainability extends to the acquisition endeavors, with the latest acquisition of a pioneering Croatian wastewater treatment company, Elmap-based in Split.
