Ingeteam closed the year 2021 with good numbers despite the pandemic. Last year, the company supplied 4,229 MW to the solar and energy storage global markets. These numbers represent the best historical records of the company. Moreover, Ingeteam also signed 1.5 GW of operation and maintenance contracts for the solar PV sector.
In 2021, the key markets in which the company has grown its solar business are Spain, Australia, the USA, Brazil, Chile, and Colombia. However, the products sold last year were supplied to 23 countries on all five continents.
Entering new markets
José Luis González, Sales Director of the Ingeteam Solar Photovoltaic Area, emphasized that "we expect to consolidate our position in the markets in which we are most active and well-established, yet without losing sight of any new opportunities that may arise in other countries with good growth prospects."
In 2021, Ingeteam supplied its PV inverters to eleven plants whose rated capacity is equal to or greater than 100 MW
The company has an extensive product portfolio, ranging from string inverters, directed at residential, commercial, and industrial systems, up to central inverters, directed at large-scale plants rated at hundreds of megawatts. In fact, in 2021 Ingeteam supplied its PV inverters to eleven plants whose rated capacity is either equal to or greater than 100 MW. In this group of large-scale solar plants, particular mention should be made of Francisco Pizarro, Europe's largest PV plant (590 MWp).
Energy storage
Energy storage is a key sector for Ingeteam, where the company has positioned itself for the considerable development expected in the short and medium-term for systems of this type, both at a residential level and also on a large scale.
Ingeteam markets its battery converters for both segments, and last year it supplied and was awarded contracts for a total of more than 400 MW / 1,000 MWh. Those supply contracts were principally signed for countries such as the United States, Spain, Australia, Chile, and the UK.
Pioneer in Operation & Maintenance Services
Furthermore, the company has achieved a new annual record for maintained power, exceeding 18.5 GW of renewable power across the globe, of which 9.5 GW corresponds to solar power in more than 570 PV plants.
This means that Ingeteam is currently securing its global leadership position as an ISP (Independent Service Provider) of operation and maintenance services at energy generation plants.
Ingeteam by the numbers
- +25 GW of solar and battery inverters
- +54 GW of wind converters
- +18.5 GW of O&M contracts for renewable energy plants
