EC&M, a trade publication for electrical professionals, recently recognized Ricky Smith of Hill Electric as one of their 30 Under 30 All-Stars for 2021.

Ricky Smith

Smith, who currently serves as a Lead Electrician with the company, has been with Hill Electric for seven years, and was recognized by EC&M as one of the “Up-and-coming electrical professionals [who] demonstrate innovation, outstanding work ethic, and technical savvy on the job.”

Smith first came to Hill Electric in 2013, after his job at the time closed down. He began as a helper alongside Hill Electric veterans and quickly moved up the line to an electrician. In the next five years, he says, he hopes to become a superintendent with the company, as well.

EC&M 30 Under 30 Awards

From day one, Ricky has worked hard to learn and adapt at Hill Electric, and we are so excited to see Ricky earn this recognition,” said Casey Johnson, Director, Estimating and Project Management. “While he is an example to anyone who is looking to grow in the manufacturing industry, we can’t overlook the dedication and effort that has gotten him noticed at this level.”

Smith marks the first Hill Electric employee to be recognized for this honor. The EC&M 30 Under 30 Awards, in their fourth year, will be featured online, as well as in the corresponding print issue of EC&M magazine.
