The Westenergie subsidiary digikoo GmbH has comprehensively revised its central software platform, the digipad.
With the digipad 2.0, digikoo offers even more efficient support for municipal utilities, municipalities, network operators and energy supply companies. The platform enables optimized planning in the areas of energy, heat, and transport.
Municipal heat planning
The digipad 2.0 enables individual analyses of complex data, automated potential assessments and customized views for users. The results can be used in a variety of ways: for example, for business development, investment planning, municipal heat planning, or other climate change projects.
A special function of the digipad is the display of so-called building blocks for municipal heat planning. The legally required method allows a data protection-compliant analysis of combined buildings, whereby in addition to natural boundaries and streets, other relevant information is also included.
Requirements of the Heat Planning Act
A simple mouseover process quickly shows the current status with statistical status information
The data meets the requirements of the Heat Planning Act, describing, for example, the heating technology used or the current heat requirement. They basically cover all German cities and municipalities and can then be evaluated locally and regionally for individual, specific heat planning.
A simple mouseover process quickly shows the current status with statistical status information. Project manager Kai Hänig explains the objective of the further development: "The digipad is a valuable tool for shaping the energy transition."
Climate protection measures
Hänig added: "The more comprehensive the data and algorithms are, the more accurate the derived scenarios and forecasts are. In digipad 2.0, we have further expanded our platform and combined various software components."
"In this way, we have also made it easier to exchange data and ideas between different actors. This promotes collaboration and cooperation between all those involved and strengthens acceptance of the necessary climate protection measures."
High-quality data and secure infrastructure
Intelligent algorithms improve interactive visualizations and models in the case-related use of map service programs
The cloud and map-based digipad acts as a data collection point and knowledge platform for experts from municipalities or public utilities and consultants in the energy and network industries. It offers precise analyses with information from various sources and forecasts future developments in the energy, transport and heat transition based on these findings.
In the new version, digikoo was able to increase the quality and accessibility of decision-relevant information. Intelligent algorithms improve interactive visualizations and representations in the case-related use of map service programs.
Secure data management
The digikoo database is broad and diverse, with almost 22 million building data. A cloud-based infrastructure ensures secure data management that complies with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and enables trusting collaboration.
Those interested will receive a detailed overview of the new services and application possibilities at the launch event on Tuesday, August 27, 2024, between 10 and 11 a.m.
