The partnership between the young Aachen-based company - gridX and the energy company - E.ON sets a further milestone for e-mobility. gridX was able to prevail over its competitors in an international tender by E.ON. In the future, gridX's dynamic load management will thus be distributed throughout Europe by E.ON.

Last Thursday, the starting signal for the extended cooperation of the two companies was given at the E.ON headquarters (Essen - Brüsseler Platz 1). At Brüsseler Platz the dynamic load management for more than 60 charging points was presented as an innovation project.

Expand the charging infrastructure

"In a next step, a battery storage unit as well as the energy generated locally for the building from combined heat and power generation and photovoltaics will also be included in the load management to enable as many charging processes as possible," says Mark Ritzmann, Managing Director - E.ON Group Innovation.

To enable as many charging processes as possible and further expand the charging infrastructure, dynamic load management is now also available to E.ON customers throughout Europe.

gridX' solution for load management

"Intelligent load management for electric vehicles lays the foundation for the future of electric mobility. We are therefore very pleased about the extended cooperation and the inclusion in E.ON's European portfolio. Once again customer orientation and flexibility pay off as our most important goals," says David Balensiefen, Managing Director and Founder of gridX.

The total energy available for the charging points is distributed by the load management

With the gridX' solution for load management, XENON charge, charging infrastructure can be established without the need for expensive grid expansion. The total energy available for the charging points is distributed by the load management.

If, for example, the consumption in the building decreases, electric vehicles can be charged with higher charging capacity. The charging processes are thus optimized taking into account the grid connection point and the building load. The fluctuating energy demand is determined almost in real-time and the consumption is adjusted accordingly.

GridX's intelligent load management

Dynamic load management is useful for both small and large sites. The more charging points are in operation, the higher the cost savings. XENON charge, with its modular design, offers the right solution for every customer requirement.

The gridX's intelligent load management ensures that, on the one hand, there is always sufficient energy available for charging the electric vehicles and, on the other hand, that peak loads and thus additional operating costs are avoided. This savings potential is now available to E.ON customers throughout Europe.

In order to make the energy turnaround a reality in and outside of Germany, innovative solutions must also be applied beyond national borders.
