IP55 AND IP40
IP stands for Ingress Protection Marking or International Protection Marking and is published by the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC). It gives consumers necessary information about the safety of the product and explains further about the water-proof and dust-proof features.
It also classifies and rates the degree of protection provided against the intrusion (including body parts such as hands and fingers) by dust, accidental contact, and water, by mechanical casings and electrical enclosures.
