Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL) has won 8 'National Safety Awards for outstanding achievements in terms of the longest accident-free period and lowest accident frequency rate at its works.

The prestigious awards were received by Ms. Renuka Gera, Director (IS&P) & Director (E, R&D) – Addl. Charge, from Shri Bhupender Yadav, Hon'ble Union Minister of Labour & Employment in the presence of Shri Rameswar Teli, Hon’ble Union Minister of State for Labour & Employment, at a function in New Delhi. 

Awards for performance year 2018

Significantly, BHEL has been winning these prestigious national awards, instituted by the Ministry of Labour, Government of India consistently, since their inception.

In addition, among a host of public and private sector companies, 25 BHEL employees from its Bhopal, Jhansi, Trichy, and Hyderabad Units have bagged 7 out of a total of 28 'Vishwakarma Rashtriya Puraskars' declared by the Ministry for the performance year 2018.
