ABB is supplying an innovative energy supply solution to enhance safety, productivity, and operational efficiency, at six vivo smartphone manufacturing sites. ABB Electrification Smart Power is supporting electronics manufacturers as they expand operations across Asia, delivering power supply resilience and reliability for critical operations.

vivo is the world’s fifth largest smartphone brand with annual production capacity of nearly 200 million smartphones. The company has headquarters in China and a worldwide network of nine R&D sites and seven production facilities. ABB’s solution will be installed at six vivo production facilities and data centers across China and India.

ABB is partnering with electrical engineering firm - Renda Group on this major three-year program. The hardware solution is based on ABB’s licensed MNS2.0 low-voltage switchgear with Emax 2 circuit breakers and intelligent controls.

Advanced digital capabilities, including fault diagnostics and real-time analysis, will enable Vivo to make its energy management and maintenance work intelligent.

ABB offers centralized procurement

Along with market-renowned innovation and expertise, partnering with ABB has also allowed vivo to benefit from centralized procurement, which is expected to reduce supply and services costs by as much as 30 percent over the three-year period.
