The One Series is our smart electronic switch with a variety of different models including low-capacity and high-capacity switch outputs, transmitter options, and a variety of other useful features. More information can be found in our technical brochure for the One Series models.

In order to summarize some of the benefits of using One Series, included 10 of the most important reasons below, in no particular order, for selecting the One Series over a mechanical switch:

  1. Uses the same two wires as a mechanical switch with the added benefit of display indication. No requirement for additional wiring or an additional display gauge. No additional wiring requires less management of change and removes the cost of running new wiring. Not needing to add a separate display removes the cost, creates less leakage paths, and reduces the total instrumentation requiring maintenance.
  2. Complete self-diagnostics. Increased safety, less maintenance, and less troubleshooting hours are required for the One Series. Mechanical switches are "blind" and must be continuously maintained to make sure nothing breaks or moves out of calibration. If the One Series encounters any errors, the switch will automatically failsafe and the specific error code will show on the display.
  3. One Series has a fully adjustable set point and deadband (hysteresis). The user can set the One Series switch to actuate and de-actuate anywhere they choose within the adjustable set point range. This increases the versatility of the One Series and makes it easier to control your application exactly as you desire.
  4. Much higher accuracy and repeatability versus mechanical switches. The repeatability for a mechanical switch is usually around 1-2%. However, the repeatability for all One Series models is 0.1%. The One Series also has a built-in offset feature which allows users to modify the value on the display to account for even more accuracy if necessary.
  5. Option to include transmitter, display, and two switches all into one device. Any users looking to reduce instruments in their design can standardize on just a single One Series device. This will reduce instruments in their inventory, reduce leakage paths in their application, and will reduce overall maintenance.
  6. Electrical switch does not wear down over time. Mechanical switch contacts will corrode over time and eventually no longer make contact. This is especially common in high-cycling applications. The electric contacts of the One Series will never wear down over time and are especially perfect for high-cycling applications.
  7. Much less susceptible to vibration than mechanical switches. Due to their moving parts, mechanical switches can be accidentally actuated with enough vibration and they are easily knocked out of calibration with any vibration at all. With no moving parts, the One Series is the perfect solution for any applications involving vibration.
  8. Much less susceptible to temperature drift than mechanical switches. Moving parts within mechanical switches can also be more susceptible to temperature changes due to expansion and contraction. With no moving parts, the One Series calibration will not be nearly as affected by temperature changes.
  9. Less susceptible to false trips due to filter and trip delay features. The built-in filter feature can help avoid false trips from any spikes in the process by averaging out all values the One Series sees within a certain period of time. The trip delay feature can help delay any false trips by only tripping if the process value remains in the failsafe range over a chosen length of time.
  10. Can sense if the application is clogged by using the plugged port. One Series includes the ability to enable the plugged port feature that monitors applications to make sure no pipes or ports are clogged. The plugged port feature sends the One Series to the failsafe mode if a plug is detected. This feature is great for wastewater debris, oil paraffin, or even block and bleed valves that users may forget to open.
