On June 29, 2020, the first batch of Wudongde giant Hydropower Station, successfully completed 72 hour trial and officially put into operation for power generation and commercial use.

Wudongde Hydropower Station is located at the junction of Yunnan Province and Sichuan Province
Wudongde Hydropower Station is located at the junction of Yunnan Province and Sichuan Province, which is the first of the four cascades in the lower reaches of Jinsha River. It plans to install 12 sets of water turbine generating units with a single unit capacity of 850MW, with a total installed capacity of 10.2 GW.
It is the fourth largest hydropower station in China and the seventh largest in the world, and is also a national major project that can be called the backbone power source of ‘West to East power transmission’.
Generator transformer unit protection
