The local community of Bruschied is ensuring greater safety on the roads with the help of Westenergie AG. Road safety is an important building block for increasing road safety.
The infrastructure provider - Westenergie is, therefore, supporting the local community financially in this project with the purchase of three new speed measuring systems.
speed measuring systems
Two of the systems are located at the entrances to the town and one system is in the Rudolfshaus district. The speed measuring systems not only show drivers the speed, but also light up green when drivers are driving within the prescribed speed. However, if the speed is displayed in red, this is a signal for drivers to take their foot off the gas and drive slower.
With the help of the installed systems, pedestrians, but especially children, will be better protected
With the help of the installed systems, pedestrians, but especially children, will be better protected from dangerous situations in traffic in the future, when they are on the road.
additional safety
Local Mayor - Thomas Engbarth is very pleased about the new measuring systems for the local community, stating, "It was particularly important to us to create additional safety for young pedestrians, because they need special protection in traffic."
He adds, "With the new speed measuring systems, we hope that traffic in our local community will become a little safer for everyone. Many thanks to Westenergie for the financial support."
sponsorship and cooperation
In addition to energy supply, Westenergie is traditionally involved in the areas of sport, culture, social affairs, climate protection, and education in its partner communities.
Through sponsorship and cooperation, the company supports both small initiatives and large associations in order to shape the future together with local people on a social level. More than 12,000 voluntary projects have already been implemented through the employee initiative 'Westenergie active locally' alone.
