The public offering of Enerjisa Enerji Company, realized through the sales of equal shares by Sabancı Holding and E.ON, has made history as the largest private sector public offering on TL basis in Turkey, due to the huge demand from international and domestic investors.

Sabancı Holding and E.ON, the shareholders of Enerjisa Enerji Company, announced that they plan to use the proceeds of this public offering in the national Energy Sector.

The public offering

The public offering of Enerjisa Enerji Company, which is one of the energy companies in Turkey, was successfully completed and started trading on the Istanbul Stock Exchange (Borsa İstanbul) with the code ENJSA as of February 8, 2018.

As it was the case with the book-building process, on the first trading day, investors showed huge interest in Enerjisa Enerji Company, 20 percent of which was taken public.

Enerjisa Enerji Company attracted attention as the stock with the highest trading volume in Borsa Istanbul on its first trading day and the sole stock price of which has increased.

Turkish Energy Market

Johannes Teyssen, CEO of E.ON, stated that E.ON believes in the great potential of the Turkish energy market due to Turkeys expanding economy, growing electricity demand, rapid urbanization, and the young and dynamic population.

Teyssen: “In Enerjisa, we wrote a very important success story with Sabancı Group. The interest of international and domestic investors reveals the confidence they have in Enerjisa's performance.” Teyssen emphasized that E.ON will continue with their investments in the Turkish energy sector.
