Shanghai Electric Power Transmission & Distribution Engineering Co., Ltd. signed a supply contract for a photovoltaic project with PCL Canada on April 20.

The Company will supply the pile foundation for Canada Travers 465MWac Solar PV Power Plant Project. This project marks the first time Shanghai Electric Power Transmission & Distribution Engineering Co., Ltd. has marched into the electricity market of first-class developed countries.

Power T&D Project undertakes the supply for the second phase boasting a capacity of 465MWac

Located in Vulcan, Alberta, Canada Travers 465MWac Solar PV Power Plant Project reaches a total capacity of 630MW. This Project proceeds in two phases, and the first phase was completed by December 2020 and offers a power capacity of 165MW.

Power T&D Project undertakes the supply for the second phase boasting a capacity of 465MWac, and adopts the flat single-axis tracking support system. PCL, the general contractor for the second phase of the Project, is a pioneer company in Canada’s construction industry.

Entry into electricity markets 

Winning a project in Canada symbolizes a great breakthrough for Power T&D Project in exploring new markets and new businesses, and also marks the first step of the Company marching into the electricity market of first-class developed countries.

The Company will build a good team, complete the Project successfully, and, on this basis, strive to enter the electricity market of Canada, extend its scope of business and get a firm foothold in the PV and even electricity market in North America.
