On August 12, 2020, the magnetically controlled shunt reactor (MCSR) of the Inner Mongolia 500 kV Bazhong substation supplied by NR Electric, completed all tests and was officially put into operation.

The successful operation of the system further consolidates the advantage of NR in the field of MCSR application.

During the implementation of the project, strict tests were carried out on the primary and secondary equipment, including grid-connected impact, winding current rise, self-excitation switching, step response, and other tests. The test results all reached the international advanced level, and the indicators were better than expected.

The operation results show that the PCS-9578 reactor control system, PCS-9150 sequence control system, PCS-917 protection system, and other primary and secondary equipment provided by NR are stable in operation and superior in performance, which are highly recognized by the owner.
