On Jan., 2019, a noiseless containerized energy storage system, which was self-developed by NR Electric, was successfully operated in Kitakyushu, Japan.

This project cooperated with the Sodium-Sulfur (NaS) Battery Energy Storage System company - NGK. It realized such features as user side Load Following (LF) and Load Leveling (LL). The test result was highly praised by Japanese customers.

NR offers integrated solutions for this project

The energy storage container scheme is connected to Japan's 6.6kV power grid

NR provides integrated solutions for this project, including system design, equipment supply, field debugging and training services. The energy storage container scheme is connected to Japan's 6.6kV power grid, including energy storage converter, booster transformer and hand-truck load switch cabinet.

This project adopts the self-designed soundless containerized solution for the first time and the test results are much better than the 65dB (1.5m) standard required by the Japanese customer. Optimized the control logic according to the requirements of Japanese power grid standard jeac9701-2016 and successfully passed various tests.

Optimized heat dissipation system design

In view of the characteristics of low voltage and large current of NaS battery, the heat dissipation system design was optimized on the premise of considering the compact design of converter structure.
